Have you spent your holidays abroad on the continent and ever wondered how they locals stick the heat? Well the answer is, they use air conditioning units. This one came in and would not switch on or function in any way whatsoever. So let's open it up and see what's inside.
With the plastic casing removed, it looked a lot like R2D2 - ok, showing my age here.
The main control board was pulled and inspected.
A continuity test, showed that the push button switches were all dead. None of them did anything.
And so replacement switches were sourced and swapped out.
The air condition came back to life and the old man will enjoy it in Croatia this year on his annual camping vacation.
